If you're fortunate enough to be using a GPS unit, just punch in the city center for "Cougar, Washington" and follow your electronic diva's directions (see our map below).
Drive Time (depending on traffic conditions) is about an hour from Porltand Airport (PDX) and 2.5 hours from the Seattle Airport (SEA) (if traffic is good). If you are not familiar with the area, please be aware that the region is very mountainous and you can find yourself lost very easily if you decide to take a senic route through the rural areas.
But if you're like the rest of us, you'll want to follow these instructions:
From Seattle (160 Miles): Head South on Interstate 5 and go to exit 21. Turn left on Lewis River road and drive about 28 miles to Cougar and look for Lone Fir Resort on the left (roughly 2.5 hours).
From Portland (56 Miles): Head North on Interstate 5 and go to Exit 21. Turn Right on Lewis River Road and drive about 28 Miles to Cougar and look for Lone Fir Resort on the left (roughly 1 hour).
We would lay out a yellow brick road to help you out if we could...but we can't. So here's our map with instructions. (By the way...Cougar is a VERY small town. When you arrive on the main road, look for Lone Fir Resort on the left):
